Bike: 2007 ducati multist

Just got my '07 multi baby !

I've wanted this bike for ages for a whole host of reasons, but the main attraction was it's looks !
I think it's beautiful to look at from all angles, including the front.
My beautiful and faithful 750ss was the unfortunate sacrificed part ex, but it served me very well indeed.
My Jap riding friends are ripping into me saying that they'll only go out with me if I ride a mile or two behind, but they're an envious lot.
I can't wait for the new season to start because even with heated grips it's still bloody cold, but it hasn't stopped me going out when the sun shines and minimal salt on the road. ( looking out of the window now it may be a few weeks until it comes out again )
I've bought the carbon rear hugger. It's still a little small but at least it'll protect the shocker. If any of you have bought this, what type of bolts did you use to attach it to the swing arm ?
I've ordered the ducati hard luggage to go with it 'cause I want to do some serious mileage and I'm going to have to cart my ladies' stuff as well as mine while she follows ( maybe ? ) on her S4. It looks like I'm going to have to put my stuff in the side panel.
In the manual the side panel has a little catch net but mine doesn't. Should it have one ?
I'm sure I'll have many more questions for you all later but I'll say bye for now.

Hi and great choice of bike you will not regret it.

The catch net is an extra but worth the money as it stops all your stuff falling out.

Good luck and enjoy it.

Congrats on your excellent taste in motorcycles. It doesn't matter if your j*p riding mates don't want to be seen with you as you'll be able to leave them for dust in the twisties.

You'd not normally see the words 'beautiful' and 'Multistrada' in the same sentence, so I'm quite curious to see this beauty, too...

Congratulations on your fab choice of bike. My 54 plate may not be as new but I can't wait to go out and show her the whip (only got her 2 weeks ago). Mine had the hugger already, carbon bellypan and centre stand (which may go or swap for paddock stand). I have no cargo net in the rhs panel. I have just ordered the Famsa Tankbag from winding roads.

Bet you got a Red one and not the exclusive Grey/Grey

Thanks for all your replies.
I'll take some photies next time I take her out and try to put them on here.
Your 54 plate will be just as brilliant and I share your excitement on picking it up.
Yes, I did get a red one. Somehow I couldn't bring myself to buy another colour because my 750ss was matt black and as the years of ownership went by I regretted not getting the red one. A cop out I know.
Beautiful and multistrada in the same sentence IS unusual, but I have a volvo 480 and I love the shape of that as well. ( oh dear )
Quite right about catching my mates in the twisties, and also it's better to ride a little behind so pedestrians can look at my bike and mine alone ! lol ................
I can see a little more carbon being purchased as the year unfolds, and I'd like to see what the belly pan looks on the bike. Any photies ?
It's nice to have the butterflies put back in my stomach.
