Petrol supply air lock.

Hi all,
My 600 Pantah seems to have an air lock on the fuel supply.
I have changed both petrol pipes with clear type to see whats going on & both taps.
The tank is non standard alloy NCR type with a breather & even if you remove the filler cap the fuel will not flow.
I have to fill the pipes with a syringe to bleed the air lock which is a real pain.
I have cleaned out the tank & carbs so any advice welcome.

If you take the pipes off and just the spigots out of the tank are open to atmosphere, does fuel flow then? Also if the pipes are connected at the tank and removed from the carbs does fuel flow?

If it does your problem lies in the carb area. Are the tank outlets submerged in enough fuel.

I know this all sounds basic, but you asked the question.

The fuel flows with either the pipes off the the spigots or carbs.
There is plenty of fuel in the tank.
So it looks like carb problem but not sure which bit.
Cheers Hursty.

It would seem that the carbs arn't venting or that the float shut offs are stuck.

Hello all, just to say stripped the carbs yet again and the bike seems to running better now, probably the floats or float needles were sticking.

Ridden it a few times this week and all is well
