Putting my 906 back on the road

A few months ago i decided that i couldnt stand seeing my Blue baby cowering at the back of the garage anymore. She has been parked up for over 2 years the main reason been a lack of tyres Michelin havnt made any of the M59 16inch tyres she needs since 2004 and they were in short supply then. I surfed the internet to no avail nothing AGGGH so was resigned to fitting a pair of avons which i know other PASO fans have fitted with admittedly mixed results the bike just doesnt look the same with them fitted ....Luckily however i am a member of WWW.DUCATIPASO.ORG and one night a few weeks ago a member posted that he had a few M59 rears yippee thank the lord for paypal anyway to cut a long story short they... well 2 rears arrived last thursday they cost me with vat etc 209 quid But i can get the old girl back on the road !!! I have been working on her for over a week now every night, new water pump seals Thanks to helen at baines , new regulator /rectifier thanks to Electrex via ebay and loads of other little bits that needed sorting...only got to fit the new belts and rear tyre ,and fit a front tyre from a ONDA FIRE BLERB And shes off for an MOT Not forgetting an appointment with Cadwell Park for the Classic bike mag Burn up i cant wait

Nice one Paso, I'm sure all the effort will be worthwhile

How about getting some pics uploaded then.

You know Duncan has got one now (a Paso), - we went to pick it up a week or so ago. You will have to introduce him to all the other Paso peeps because he needs some bits and bobs!

The 907ie version ran 17" wheels, for which the tyres are MUCH more readily available, so why not swap wheels? The brakes were upgraded too.......My old Paso's 16" wheels mad the bike sit up in bends....the 907 was an awful lot better, and the injection was much better than that old Weber carb on the 906 !

Well there ya go, i never had a moments trouble with the weber...and know quite a few people with 906 who havnt. BUT oh dear the old 750 was pants ...float height and a dodgy fuel bowl seal been the main problem.

Yep some fail some dont. Most of the problems with the digiplex are down to over charging from the standard reg/rectifier
