Dr Bob's 1000LE - Weekend Exposure and Punctures!

DrBob's 1000LE - Weekend Exposure and Punctures!

Well it started well and I put 60 miles on it Saturday morning, I almost died of exposure at 7 in the morning but the clear roads made up for that.

Sunday morning I got 3 miles from home and the bike picked up a puncture, only 2 places within 20 miles of Chichester deal with motorcycle tyres, one was shut and the other I don't trust so I was knackard until Monday.

I got the bike back yesterday and a new inner tube cost the grand total of 7.06 out of 45 pound total. I'm in the wrong bussiness, I should take up fitting tyres at 40 pounds an hour.

Though you can't leave it until spring to ride it properly. As soon as mine is run in and I've given it a bit of stick it'll be going in the kitchen on display, but there are another 2 weeks of sun before that happens.

You're gonna fit an innertube??? Thought it would be tubeless tyres only!
Always sorry to hear about the perfect morning coming to an unfortunate end due to mechanical problems....

Tubed tyres on this as it has old fashioned spoked rims and they are only rated up to 240kph sadly.

Though my house though has a tiny livingroom and a massive kitchen so it would be no where near the ****e that gets kicked up cooking thankfully, plus in the livingroom it would be used to stack paper on or as a clothes horse. And my bedroom is on the first floor and there is no way I'm draging 180kilos of bike up 1 flight of stairs with a turn.
