Any Idea What My Bike Is Worth?

Two more separate things have gone wrong with it and it's looking less and less likely that all of the problems are going to be sorted judging by the recent behaviour of the dealer. I'll most probably be getting the remaining problems sorted out of my own pocket which ****es me off even more, Ducati aren't helping and are just trying to pass the blame on to me.

I've ordered a tub of nuts from BSR and I'll be replacing most of them if they need it or not and a couple of other things. I'll also be booking some dyno time as there is now a flat spot from 6000-7000 rpm after fitting the pipes and it's still not running properly.

There is one on Ebay for £8000 with the same mileage, I've got a set of cans although that doesn't make a difference but any idea as to what I could get for it.

Also any idea on where I can get a manual from so I know the proper torque settings for some of the bolts. The ones on Ebay are just for the Multistrada and don't have that information.

Hmmm.. selling now you would have to take a hit on depreciation, as in theory new ones can still be had, so prospective buyers need to be tempted away from buying new - I would guess this would have to 20% off list.

As you say, exhausts will not make much difference - so sell them seperately (to me!!)

Although a bit late Iv'e been using ACF 50 with good results, having tested it on the garden gate - it defineltly does what it says on the can (ACF 50 is a sort super version of WD40)

Bike: 2006 749 Gloss Black

Dependant on how far the corrosion has gone, ACF-50 seems to actually remove existing corrosion as well as protecting against further blight.
It's done this for me on the few bits I missed when I coated the bike in it when new.
Might be worth a go!

The bits that are a problem are coated in the oil from my Scotoiler and they're still going rusty. I'll give ACF50 a try as a few people have recommended it just it's a bit messy when washing it off.

I might sit on it for a month to see if all of them are sold and what happens then, the prices have jumped £1000 on Fleabay already. Also removing the pipes is a pain in the arse as everything has to be setup again for the standard pipes, even adjusting the tickover is a dealer job.

Also the pipes are rusting underneath the paint and they've only done 200 miles and been washed 4 times so salt shouldn't have attacked it already, under a layer of heat proof paint. I might take them off and get them polished a laquerd, more money out of my pocket.

Crikey!!! I'm begining to think you must live and work near a salt mine, not west sussex!!

My bike has not emerged from hibernation yet (still has a grand total of 35 miles!!!). will wait until spring - perhaps I'll do a PH test of the roads to check all the salt has been washed away!!

Interesting comments about exhaust, I thought, along with the new air box and ecu, it was all preset to be bolt on - Ducati it would seem have created a nice little earner for themselves and their dealers!!!!, all on top of the high intial price!!

Just spent a fortune on my other bikes, so the new exhaust will have to wait indefinetly!
