Hi, from perth, West Oz.

Have got a 07 sport classic bought new in january, sweet bike and love it, done just over 6000k. Neat fun bike and also handles very well now, got a reasonable amount of grunt and sounds brilliant.

Groans - black stripe peeled n my first tank, tacho glass has just chipped from the inside (stress fracture?) and she's popping n farting abit on downshifting/de-accelerating which needs sorting out - but otherwise been pretty good.

Mods - have done a few mods with the main intent to use Ducati parts where possible and try in keep the price down as much as possible.

Termi exhaust kit, st4s forks (s/h off ebay) monster s4 rims (s/h USA) 748 4 pot calipers (s/h USA), DP mirrors (s/h usa), Pazzo levers, Oberon cluth and brake caps, STM clutch slave cylinder and frame plugs, Rizoma front sprocket cover, local make radiator guard, DP 14t front sprocket, ohlins steering damper on custom bracket and carbon fibre tank and fork leg protectors.

cheers Dave

ps , just bought an 03 749 last few weeks, not sure what to make of that so far.

the stock forks are kinda crap, non adjustable, lightly sprung.....the st4s forks give full adjustability and stiffer fork spring.....cheaper than the ohlins upgrade

the idea of the mods was to creat the bike Ducati might have made if theyhadnt gone for style over function and penny pinching a couple of area.

Lovely bike Dave. Quite fancy one of those myself. You look as those youŽd have a good view of the moon looking at the angle of your mirrors mate!!! One question, are they as agonising to ride as IŽve heard?
Very pretty though!

Richie.

thanks Richie and e/1 else for the compliments - yeah those are the DP mirrors and they are bitch to setup properly but you can see out of them okay honest

comfort wise, mines a 07 which is more friendly than the 06 (lower pegs and higher bars) but having said that if you are use to late model sports bikes, the 06 arent that bad, the Paul smarts and SC1000S tho do have pretty low clipos so that the brake resevoirs can clear the fairing - they arent that comfy imho
