Keihan Exhausts seeking Sportclassic biposto for measurement
Keihan systems are looking for a Sportclassic biposto to measure and adapt their Conti style GT system to.
If you or any other Sportclassic biposto owner is willing to lend Keihan a bike for measurement please contact them immediately!
If you haven't seen the "Ducati Sportclassic conti replicas" on Google video or youtube you must do so now and then take your bike to Keihan!
Termi pipes are OK but if the Keihans look and sound as good in the flesh as they do in the video, no contest.
I would willingly lend my bike but it's a long way from me here iin OZ.
Cheers, Al.

Bump!
Has anyone managed to get in touch with Keihin?
It would seem our bikes are a tad rare in this country.
I spoke to them on the phone and while I was very interested in doing this I live over three hundred miles away so the logistics of getting my bike to Redditch was a real issue.
They would wish to keep the bike for a couple of days but if you live not too far it'll be well worth it.

Keihan conti style exhaust for sports classic biposto
Dear All,
Managed to get up to Keihan, the basic plan to use my bike for measring purposes,
the system they put on the bike, stainless, looked stunning.
took a quick test spin, low end grunt vastly improved, I felt myself slipping down the seat much earlier than with the standard heap of sh*t exhaust system.
I never actually got up to full power, my bottle went, so at the moment I cant comment what its like at the top end revs.
I am just waiting for Keihan to deliver the exhaust system, once its fitted I will take some pictures and get them posted.
Exhaust note - words cant explain, but it is absolutley amazing.

I am really looking forward to seeing and hearing these, I would have purchased a set if they had been made earlier, but I went with Dennis Foran and am really happy with the result

re-mapping
Shivertown,
just wondering if you had to remap your bike?
Also the Keihan cans on paul smart as seen on the website are a little longer than the ones trialed on my bike, Mark at Keihan mentioned that they had shortened the length of the cans, for a better overall look

That's a good idea IMO, when I saw the system fitted to a Small Part Rep the Conti's looked way too long.
I thought then that they needed to make them shorter.

No, the Dennis Foran Contis work well with the standard euro ecu and standard airbox lid, when I go to an open airbox, lid supplied by Dietrich, which will happen next year then I will be installing an FIM chip

Well done Captain! It does indeed look very nice. Shivertown is right though, we must have sound! I hope you got a good deal for the use of your bike.
