Ther are only the two lots of cables to the original lights, one is to the plate light and the other is to the tail/ blinkers, The one to the plate light does have a fair bit of extra cable but there is a plug on it if you trace it,

I found the tail light lead no problem, may have to check out how the alarm was fitted as this triggers the two rear indicators to flash when arming. Quite frankly I'd be happy to be without the alarm but the insurance company insist...........

You have to change over your positive wires to the blinkers in the tailight plug (on the light assembly itself) as you have to rotate them 180 degrees, it shouldnt affect the alarm system but it is better being safe than sorry .

swapped over as per instructions! quite good for me. I would not win bonus points for anything mechanical or electrical normally, it's far from my specialist subject! It's this extra wire though, can't understand why it would be there - perhaps I should take my normal route and cut it and see - doh!!!

Twinshock,

I am guessing (hoping) that you do not work in bomb disposal.

CTT.

in one - the alarm

Woke up this morning, beautiful sunshine, needed to pick up a paddock stand and get this wire issue sorted. Hey, take the day off why not, fortunately not bomb disposal as I don't think the army would be so accommodating. 50 mile run out to the dealers who stop what the're doing to have a look and its an earth for the alarm. Two minutes later and its been cut and resoldered elsewhere. No problem, no charge (Ducati Aylesbury), packed the paddock stand into the Ventura bag (put it on this morning for the first time - good stuff). Came home the pretty way and whipped off the mudgaurd and on with the tail tidy. It looks even better in the flesh, I think it gives the bike a shorter more aggressive look. What to do next?

Glad you got it sorted I had hoped that this would not happen but for some reason it seems that once you start to modify these bikes it turns in to a serious addiction!
