1000s or Paul Smart rep in Hampshire area?

Hi,
I love the look of the half-faired 1000S, so much so that I'm considering chopping in my ST2 and '92 851 to get one.....

BUT I can't find one to test ride to see how the riding position feels.

I can find a Sport and a GT at local dealers, but they'r enot the same thing.

Would anyone local be up for letting me have a test bimble on their pride and joy, in return for a ride on a piece of 4V Ducati history, please??

Thanks, Paul

You'd be more than welcome to take my PS for a spin, but I'm some way away (S.Devon)
I think I can safely say though that you'll love it. The only issue really is whether or not you like the looks, if you do, you'll love the handling and ride, although the PS in particular is quite stretched out, it's no worse than a race rep. The other point I would make is that the PS has Ohlins forks and rear suspension, and that's got to worth the extra they command - They're also as rare as Desmosedicci!
Best of luck mate.

I wanted to avoid feeling obligated Roy, especially if I end up buying a used one elsewhere.......

And it's the wrong colour, I'd forego the Ohlins to have the twin shock and red frame and fairing.

Fraid all the Paul Smarts are that colour (I'm sure you know that) But the Ohlins are a huge step up from the standard (Showas?)
As for the frame colour......

I never want anyone to have to be humiliated as I was by so called "friends"

Maybe a 1000S with Ohlins is the way to go, but I've been using the Sport1000/MHe/620S non-adjustable forks on my DD bike and if they are set up right they can be pretty good y'know.....
