Ducati Sport Classic/MH900 - history and design website

For Sport Classic fans (and MH900R and MH900e) - I'm working on a new concept of site , its based around a blog format and is more about the design philosophy and ownership of Sport Classic's but will allow contributions from owners who want to post to it. Its not forum based and as such I'm limited to the number of contributors but if you've got an article you'd like to write or want to contribute regularly I can set up access.

I've already been adding pages but it is still in its infancy and needs more contributions. Posting is as easy as most forum software but also allows html if you want to use it.

I'd like to keep it focused on the Sport Classic range and the 2 bikes the concept came from MH900R and MH900e, the MH900R was the Pierre Terblanche's inspiration for the MH900e and Paul Smart, Sport 1000 and GT. Whilst a degree of customisation is inevitable with any Ducati it would be good to stick to customising and changes that retain the philosophy of the bikes.

Site is now up and going, you can find it at

Ducati Sport Classic, MH900e and MHR900

Please let me know if you'd be interested in contributing.

Michael

well done gizmo, excellent start and great looking web site!
Not sure what sort of contributions you're looking for, but as a PS owner and someone with an opinion about most things, I'm sure I could come up with something.

I'm looking to add info on most aspects of SC and MH ownership, why you bought it, the design aspects that interest you, any bits of history that go with them, what makes them so special. Bits you can grab from the web, i search all the time and the first articles come from other sites, if you use google tool bar there is even an option to send the link to the blog.

Modifications provided they fit the ethos of the bike, TBH i wary of getting too deeply into this as it could very easily stray into a subject matter better suited to forums and already covered here and elsewhere, the idea would be to get good, balanced contributions on changes ie a range of exhaust options or suspension changes not just show off a bike laden with Rizoma and NCR bits or go down the "individualised" monster root and then to present it in a different format, more magazine like I'd rather have fewer contributions in exchange for a more quality post, if you get my drift. Apologies very elitist I know but I think yer average SC and MH owner probably understands where I'm coming from

Interesting mods this guy's done/is doing:
ericomotorsports.com • View topic - Sport 1000/S- Project Builds at Erico Motorsports

The bike pictured is NCR's 'New Blue', straight out of Bologna.
