Huggers

Followed a link from on this site sometime before christmas last which took me to an American company that produce huggers for the original sport 1000, did e-mail them but have since lost that due to pooter giving up. Was just wondering if anybody knows who I'm looking for or any body in this country that produce one for the single shock variety of the sport. Think the original link was about special tools and a site in America was recommended, but can;t find it and me head hurts now!
Thanks in advance for any help.
Mike

will do Paul, hopefully be ordering it next week. when I e-mailed them earlier in the year they replied that shipping to the U.K. all the time and was somewhere around $45.
QB don't do one for the mono, tried them as soon as the piece appeared in MCN, shame cos I think they would get a fair bit of trade.

Yup, that's the ad, for the 'biposto', they aren't doing one for the 'mono'.

So what's the cheapest (mono) hugger we've found?
I don't need carbon fibre I'll just leave me sandwich till after I've been out riding.

That's the only one I've seen! so with the exchange rate thats probably about right for carbon parts for a Ducati!

Smile Sport 1000 Huggers

Just to let you know I've just bought a carbon hugger from clay carrier composites in San Diego CLAY CARRIER COMPOSITES. Cost $333 plus £30 customs charge, Fits like a glove it's a little bit thinner than I had hoped for but other than that very good. Helps protect that swing arm.

How long did it take to get to you after ordering? Did you phone your order or e-mail them?

Thumbs up

I ordered via email, just split credit card details into two seperate emails just incase one went astray. Hugger took about 2 weeks to arrive but most of that time was in uk parcel force depot. hugger was well packaged so no problems. As I said only slight downside is thickness of carbon.
