Thumbs up

Insufficient data Lingosl.

Much depends on what you are going to do with it. The ST is a grand all rounder, without the Arse-Up-Head-Down Ducati posture of many of the others.

If you are determined to stay with the marque, and tired of the ST, get down to some dealers and try a few out.

Preferably try out to a decent long twisty hill where you can gun it up, and enjoy the gentlemans posture on the way down (taking your weight on your elbows and wrists!).

Either way, "Use the Force Luke". Nothing like a hot Vee Twin between the legs, what?

My last bike was a ST2 as well, sorry to see it go but it was agood decision. The S2R is a lovely bike and on longer journeys it's a lot more comfortable than the ST2, less tank range though.

I have just got rid of my ST4 which I loved, but it was uncomfortable for me on any distance..
I looked at many other bikes, but apart from an MV or maybe a Guzzi, nothing inspired me; so i have just got a Multistrada 1100 and I am very comfortable with it. It is great in the twisty bits and will tour quite well with half decent protection against the elements.

What about an ST4s ? - I dont have the problems comfort wise with mine that Jim has had, and would'nt change my ST4 for the world, apart from uprating to an ST4s.
Just my two bobs worth.
Mark.

It's fair to say that most people do NOT have the problem with the ST that I had... I have not been riding for a long time like some of the guys and I m used to riding more sit up bikes than a ST...
I wish I could have got used to the pain as the ST is a great bike; I have ridden the Honda VFR and Triumph Sprint; mates of mine have both and I have done some decent miles on each.. neither of them come close to the ST for character... although the Triumph triple is nice...
The one thing I really love about the ST is it is the best of both worlds, a terrific sports bike, if you are good enough; and a great tourer when you want it to be...
Do not buy your next bike without an hour test ride...
