ST2 electrics are dim and cut out

MY 2000 W ST2 has a problem in that when i turn it on i sometimes have to wait 20 minutes before power gets to all parts of the bike. What i mean by this is after switch on the neutral light comes on , then power to the immobiliseer, headlights, indicators etc until it gets to the fuel injextion and finally the starter motor. During this time if i use any electrics eg indicators, horn etc the powere fails and i have to wait until it builds up again. I have so far 1 changed the battery 2 cleaned the earth cable 3 put on a new voltage regulator 4 cleaned all connections but now i am completely stuck on what to do next, please help.

Sorry if this is the bleed'n obvious but have you checked the battery itself. Can you hook up a car battery and see if that makes a difference? (make sure the car is not running) What is the voltage at charge and still?

I'd check the batt connections, sounds close to a car with loose batt connections.

My ST4 had a very similar problem! I know you say you've "cleaned all the wiring connections", but did you check/clean the big main wiring harness multiway connector at the left front of the fairing? It's prone to water ingress & retention, resulting in significant corrosion of the male/female terminals. It's easily accessed by removing the small dash left side-panel and 'hinging-off' the top half of the connector, but replacement would means fitting a complete wiring harness! I cleaned mine with a small, stiff, non-metallic brush & WD40, rinsed off with brake-cleaner solvent & let it dry, then slapped on lots of ordinary grease before re-assembly. I've had no problems with it since despite riding in the wet many times over the winter.
