Thanks Mark happy to be here!

I would be interested in the Belgian idea depending on when it is, We have friends outside Maastricht and I havn't been over to see them yet on the bike, two birds with one stone Etc.

Plus the Micro brewery's of course, so long as its walking distance of the overnight abode (even if it is canvas).

Mash
If I organize anything on my bike it is always within striding distance of a boozer - I don't drink n drive.

So the BIG QUESTION is who's seriously up for a Belgium Bash and at what time of year?? If enough get together the Ducatisti could do a block booking on the Ferry or Chunnel and get a real discount off the fares all traveling together.

Jim - we know you had an ST but.............. there are penalties for swooping sides mid combat you know!

It's called desertion and treason. To the Tower with you. I'm for hanging, drawing and quartering not for inviting!!

I only deserted due to age and infirmity and the sever pain caused by the ST4.... I loved her greatly, but it was like loving a S&M mistress..you love it until you can't stand the pain anymore....luckily I had a safe word to use!! oops, I know far too much about this subject!

Exclamation

Anyway, I am busy the weekend you are planning a ride.. I am going out with my real friends that don't discriminate because of the bike I am riding; you know the EU don't allow discrimination it's called being 'bikeist'!
Back to S&M; I know very little about the subject really; just what some of the ST riders have been telling me in their pm's.....
Mark,
If you are as old as you look in your avatar, then you are older than me?

Jim - okay - but if you turn up in PVC adorned with whiplashes then you'll be frog marched to the darkest remotest non-brewing belgium monastery to spend your entire life being silently admonished by bald headed weirdo's wearing brown smocks.

Jim what bit exactly sounds like your sort of thing: the bald headed weirdo's - silence - whiplashes - pvc - or is it the thought of lovely ST's that you are already missing so so much

Dates ???

So we need to look at dates.

How long would we take? eg 3 days, 5 days?
mid week? long weekend?
I personnally need that detail as I have to schedule my time out with other people I work with.
I cannot do mid june as it conflicts with Southern Ireland motorcycle tour.

Apart from that I am up for it, she says yes as well so long as the day doesnt have a"Y" in it.
Oh thats a shame she doesn't get as much holiday as me HHMMMM.

Head Count - Belgium

So far then we have a head count of 4 - that's not many of you ST'ers as one of those will be an honorary member for the expedition, only due to his very recent previous ownership of an ST. Naming names we have:

MarkST
Masher
Jim Shea (Any Month)
Northworthy (August/September)

Anyone else out there in ST land want to do a weekend beer tour in Belgium?? If so add you name to the list.

For my part I said I'll do the logistics and map out a location and accommodation possibilities, but only after we have more names!! So come on lads n lasses - Belgium isn't Afganistan.

Re when: I think it may be a good idea for folks to add their choice(s) of month as I have done above.

Now let's see if we cannot get some momentum into this idea.

-ooo0ooo-
Off on easter ski hols now until April1 so cannot respond to new posts until then.
