I Smell a 549 Supermono Project Bike!

So, if you took a 1098 engine and cut it in half, could you get a 550cc single? It'd be water cooled and 4 valves per cylinder, which is reasonably true to the original bike.

I smell a project bike coming on.......

have you seen the dummy piston arrangement on a mono? Clever linkage running off the unused con rod, not sure how you'd replicate that lot??

My initial investigations lead me to believe that John Hackett (JHP/Ducati Coventry) sells a kit to do this to testastretta engines.
