Buckinghamshire

After a brilliant run with Womble and a few people from another forum on Saturday, I thought I'd post the route here:

from:A413/Buckingham Rd @51.826700, -0.814720 to:A413/London Rd @51.987670, -0.977480 to:51.956538,-1.104813 to:A41 @51.879890, -1.126710 to:B4011/Thame Rd @51.760640, -0.987160 to:postcombe - Google Maps

Essentially.....

Aylesbury - Buckingham - Bicester - Thame - Postcombe

Great roads, generally plod free, but watch out for bike plod on the A413 and camera vans on the Tingewick bypass.

Couldn`t agree more the A413 from Buckingham is an ace ride, use it regulaly when going to the Ace cafe, funnily enough

Red face A41

Just off route but for those travelling from London to Aylesbury to start your route ... there is at least one unmarked police car (vauxhall) with an average speed camera.

Don't ask me how I know

The camera Vans on the Tingewick bypass move around a lot... they have some odd hideouts around Buckingham and the surounding roads.

It is a great stretch (without needing to go too fast either... fun at normal speeds).... just need to be careful of one or 2 bends. My favourite is getting the wheel lift over the hump-back bridge!

I can confirm there has been an unmarked Volvo on the stretch also (if you are talking about the A41).... although they tend to leave you alone unless you are doing anything truly stupid.
