Calais to Le Mans?

I am going down to Le Mans in three weeks time and although I am a Le Mans regular this trip is going to be the first by bike. I want to avoid the peage but do need to get down there in a day - any suggestions for routes?

Mark

Thumbs up

Hi,

Try ViaMichelin: Maps, route planner, route finder, UK maps, European maps, hotel booking, travel guides and plot a route. There's an option to avoid toll roads.
Calais south towards Rouen, take the coast raod past Le Touquet if you want scenic, then work around to Le Havre, over that wonderfull bridge, and round towards Caen and south to Le Mans.

Enjoy. France is a fantastic biking country. Unleaded about 1.52-1.57Euros per litre.

Regards

Mahout

Hi Mark

I took the St Omer, Abbeville road, then the non peage motorway to Rouen. From there I went Elboeuf, Conches, Vemeuil, Mortangne and the Lemans.

Good, quiet roads all the way, even on 24 hours race weekend!

Enjoy your ride!
