Talking A286

As if any more reason were needed for owning Italian V-twin erotica...

Saturday evening approx. 7'ish - I went out for that ride I'd been looking forward to all week - rolled up at the ptrol station, glided in and rolled up to the pump - small audience of two big BMW riders - one on his bike, the other coming out after paying - rolled up next to a car full of young (and splendidly good looking) ladies - so I blipped the throttle as I raised my viser, you know how you do! - Beemer guy walked past and said "VERY nice bike mate", "thanks" I said...the windows were down and all these young ladies were staring at me (quite rude I thought, but hey - I'll let it pass...) "gorgeous bike mate" "why thank you - just wait a couple of minutes then you can hear it again! - and then who knows?..." I replied in my most suggestive middle aged accent I could muster - and then I noticed their mother in the driving seat - oh well...

stay with me, this is leading somewhere...

Anyway, came out; straddled; started her; gloves on; blipped the throttle probably slightly more than I would have done - to an audienceof the young ladies (humming Jame's Laid hapilly to myself!)

Anyway - here's where this is going...

M25 to A3 South bound - over Hogg's back past Guildford - follow A3 (which has some nice stretches to open it up to blow the dust out for medicinal reasons - but there are one or two naughty yellow camera thingys so be careful!) into Petersfield - turn left at traffic lights just before you get into Petersfield proper onto A272 into Midhurst - Left at Midhurst onto A286 north bound (the whole of the A286 in both directions is a splendid road in my opinion actually) - follow A286 north towards Guildford---then join the A3 and back home.

Splendid.

The A286 is a popular route for bikes and you'll always see some holed up in Midhurst. But try the route if you've got a spare 40 minutes. Enjoy
