Silly Insurance Quotes!

Was going to upgrade to either a 749 or S4R but looking at insurance had put me off completely.

Best quote was £2k+ with £450 excess and that’s from eBike.

What the hell’s going on there?!

keep at it mo and ring around - i was getting silly quotes like that but i rang a few places and eventually found some 'almost reasonable' prices even with my coloured history

Do you want me to try it on my insurance with you as a named rider? Bearing in mind that my 695 fully comp is £202 a year (no NCB), with £150 excess... God it's good to be a girl! Well, a middle aged woman...

I've just called A Quote. Got a quote for £268 full comp £500 excess covers me for legal and breakdown also 90 days Euro travel per year. In addition to that, I can put 3 other bikes on that insurance.
Not bad but I'm still going to shop around.

Have you tried Carole Nash or Hastings Direct ? Both quoted me very good prices even with no NCB and a 6 month ban and 6 points they were both under £700 and I have a KT postcode.

My insurance is cheaper if I keep it on the road outside my house in E18 rather than in the garage locked out of site )E14 (and I have room for another if anyone needs some space for their bike).

blimey - maybe they give a massive intro discount and screw you the next year then.........

roll on 2007

what details have you declared? certain fields make a massive difference (e.g. no alarm/immobiliser device). my quote went over 2k without one?
