No claim bonus from 3dr party only cover?

Hi there..

just a very noob question.

Am I able to receive no claim bonus if I only have a 3rd party only cover.
One of my friend told me that it was not possible. He had to get a fully comp in order to reveice no claim bonus. But that was a car insurance.

Im 24 and I am not really interested paying 2k for the insurance :-D

Not sure about 3rd party only, but I certainly earned some with 3rd party fire & theft.

£2k? Oh well, I knew there had to be someting good about getting older, mines going to be about £250 fully comp this year!

Any insurance counts towards NCB. If company tells you other wise they are breaking the law. My mate has a 3rd party for last 3 years and guess what he has 3 years NCB. He is using H&R Insurance.
I Had 3rd party fire & theft on monster 750, first bike with one crash on 125 and no NCB. Total cost 700 a year with 500 excess and extra insurance to recover that excess + legal cover. Also H&R.

Is this definitely the case? I'd have thought that 5yrs no claims 3rd party only cover on a C90 wouldn't do much against your Desmo16 fully comp.

As Pedro said if you have a full year without a claim = 1 year NCB

Amazing, I'm off to buy £20 worth of ruined C90. Just in case.
