Bike Insurance

Hi. I was wondering if anyone on the list can steer me in the right direction regarding insurance. I will be visiting the UK & touring Europe in May-June. We are going to the Isle of Man for the T.T. then touring the UK etc. I have a St2 in the UK & need to MOT , Tax & Insure it. What is the best road to go down, I'm 58 & have been riding for forty years + & ride every day of the year, no cage just bikes. I hope you Guys & Gals can help. Cheers Takka.

www.ebikeinsurance.co.uk are about the cheapest in the UK, but suppose you would need a UK address to insure the bike, as premiums depend partly on postcode. Worth an e mail to them if nothing else.

I was with eBike last year on my Hayabusa and they were cheapest at the time.

I changed to a 916 mid term, plus a bit of premium, but when I came to renewal they quoted me £440 fully comp, while the Hayabusa was £280 last year.

Ducati Insuarnce also quoted me £440.

Carole Nash + Bennetts both quoted around £220, but I went for the new set up via the IAM which came out at £210, and also incuded business use plus a few other goodies.

Crikey you did well with the IAM Scheme - after much publicity of its launch last year - I rang them and they were Twice the price Ducati Insurance!!!!!

Found Carole Nash a good insurer, for home and abroad. You do get breakdown assistance etc with them when quoted the premium price. Cant fault them at all. Get what you pay for.
