Track Insurance?
Would love to take the 1098s out on the track, but for fear of binning it, I have yet to do so.
Has anyone taken out track insurance? If so, with whom & how much?

I looked into it two years ago for my ST4s. None of the big insurers i looked at would quote.
Having done a search on Google I found a couple of brokers who offered it, but the premium for one day was nearly my annual road insurance (£250) and the excess double. Conclusion...hire an R6 for £195 for the day with a £250 damage excess even if you write it off. Doesn't acheive the objective of riding your own bike on the track. The other routes is to buy a track bike or get aftermarket fairings, remove everything you can from your 1098 and fit a set of crash mushrooms to the frame and bobbins to the wheel spindles. R&G do them for the 1098. Will cost you about the same as track insurance. |

If you where to bin it, another option is to push it down the road outside of the track!! and push it into the nearest bush!! LOL
