Why didn't you kick that guy in the tan coloured coat out of the way? Great views of the back of his head shame about the Ducatis.

Sir
I think the person in question made it all the way up from Dorset on a round case, I do not know were you are but if it is on Good Firday 2009, will we be seeing you??

That way as they say you will have a grand stand seat.

All the Best

Fred

I was gutted not to have made it early that day, had my work leaving do the night before and so was in no fit state to ride early on the Friday.

I got there early afternoon, passed a poor hapless chap (he might even be on this site, I hope not) who was pushing his 1098S toward Horsham.

Pulled over to see if he needed help, turned out he had run out of fuel. I was bemused at this and inquired how. Sorry if you are on this site......but, the explanation was as follows (as I remember it):

Me - "You ok, need some help?"
Chap - "Nah...but thanks for stopping, bloody ran out of fuel a few miles back"

Me - "Sh&t....How the hell did that happen"

Chap - "I have only had the bike 3 weeks, noticed the fuel light a few miles back"
Me - "OK, so why didnt you fill up ages ago?"

Chap - "Well I saw the numbers counting up and they were at 30"
Me - "That much, so why did you let it get that far?"

Chap - " I thought they counted to 100 till I needed to re-fuel!!!"
Me - (Stiffled laughter)"Snigger.....your kidding right?

Chap - "NO.....thought it was some kind of counter"
Me - "Errrr......nope the number which increases as you ride is a miles covered on reserve, as sooon as that light comes on I am looking for a petrol station"

Chap - "B*ll%cks!!!!!"

I did feel really sorry for him, first Duc and everything. Offered to go get him some fuel but he would not have it.

Once again sorry if you are on the site, but I could not help but share .

Hehehe....pays dividends to read the manual.

Rich.

its all about Karma

I really should listen to my own advice......

On the way out Sat morning remembered I needed fuel, low and behold the light was on when I started the monster, 17 miles it was showing.

Was running late to meet a friend for an early morning blast, so thought it would be ok to get across town.

How wrong was I!!!

Considering there is a garage 30 secs from home which I duly rode past, I only have myself to blame. Ran out of fuel a minute past onto the dual carriage way. No way to get off and had to pull over on the chevrons of a bloody slip road which lead up a hill to another dual carriageway.

What a Effing Pratt!!!

Had to ring said mate and ask for rescue, he was not happy but did come to me aid.

Interestingly half the bikers that went past did not even acknowlegde me (even the Black Monster 695) a few did and I waved them on.

ahhhh...Karrma..after I told that chap you should fill up as soon as the light goes on. Hehehehehe!

you reap what you sow

Anyway, interestingly I also ran out of petrol on sunday but literally yards from my home. So I took the superlight out instead.
