Ladies and Gentlemen...
Last year, some of you may remember, there was a get-together at Jack's Hill cafe followed by a one-hour rideout for those Ducatisti lucky enough to own a SS. Known unofficially as the "Gathering of the Clan", it was an entertaining way to spend half a day in the company of fellow Ducati owners, and put faces to two names of some more of the nice people on this site. And of course, despite the name, all Ducatis were welcome.
So the purpose of this post is to find out what interest there is in doing something similar again.

So...
The proposed date is Sunday August 24th meet 1100 for 1130 start

The plan
is for a meet at a cafe followed by a roughly one-hour rideout ending back at the start point.

The venue

Auntie Ruth's Diner on the A5 at Hinckley
google map here

Open to
Anyone with a Ducati, but especially Supersport riders. (Actually, there were a couple of non-Ducs last time, and that went well so I'd suggest we include those who ask, but I'm happy to leave that decision to the attendees)

If you are interested, please post on this thread and I will summarise from time to time.

Here are some pics from the 2007 gathering

That's the one, Dicky. I should point out that I've asked for others to suggest start points too, but Jack's Hill worked well last time, so I'd be happy to use it again if need be.

I know round that part of the countryside (used to live there) decent greasy spoons are almost impossible to find

But the food at Jacks Hill is not that clever, can we not meet somewhere where there is decent food

Smile Cafes

The old ex little chef( now taken over by a local garden centre I think) on the A3400 Stratford - Woodstock, Chipping Norton / Banbury r/bout is quite good, clean tidy and bike friendly, we stopped there on Sunday I was well impressed.
Must have been about 40-50 bikes pass thru the time we spent there plus many passing.
Fairley central for some good roads

Hi Just done a search , no joy, not even sure if it's named after a GC, could be somthing like Mother Rileys, I usually go past every 10 days or so so I will pay more attention next time and put details on here

You cannot miss it as it is next to a car sales and opposite the Shell station.

Anybody from that area can help

I think it might just be called the Garden Centre Cafe or something. It's on my regular A361 route; never stopped but certainly popular with bikers. It's the place at 12 o'clock on the roundabout here:

Righty-dokey skip me old mate, I´ve ear-marked this one as we should be back in Blighty for early August. This is of course assuming I can whizz the bike in for a service before then!

Don Richie.
