After the success of our first meeting I've put together another agenda which I hope you can all make.

The ride will take in the excellent B660 going through Kim Bolten and Great Gidding before crossing the A1 onto the B1040 and heading back through Ramsey before stopping for lunch at a really nice pub in the village of Waresley. From there we will work our way down to Sandy and back onto the A1.

This route throws all sorts of bends at you and is huge fun to ride. Bike mags have used this as a test route it's that good.

OK so where to meet up. I think we may be able to temp some of the folk from Northant to join us so I've put in two meeting points.

Meeting point1 10:00 - Tesco @ Welwyn Garden City to get here just go straight up the A1 and take the junction after the Galleria Hatfield swing back over the A1 and it's on the oposite side of the roundabout. Meet at front of store.

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl...17445&t=h&z=16

Meeting point2 11:30 - Playing field car park on your right just before Mowsbury golf course (B660). The google map link takes you to a road just past this but you can clearly see where I mean.

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl...08723&t=h&z=17

If you need any more info / direction just ask.

Cheers

shame, right on my doorstep this one, but no-can-do on saturday.

avoid the A507 if you can, there's an organised rideout down that way, see here:

A507 Ride Out - Events - Motorcycling Matters

likewise, as keef mentioned, b660 was crawling with police last week, so watch yourself, they are slippery if you run over them.

Weather front moving in.........

I'm tracking a really nasty weather front moving into the south east on Saturday morning I'm hoping this will arrive late but it's not looking good. I'm going to keep my eye on this and post again on Friday night. If it's going to be 'tipping it' down all day it may be best to reschedule.

When you look at metcheck.com (they are mostly correct) it does not look that bad .... yet. If needed we will reschedule but for now.

It will not rain

Bike: 2001 ST2

Assuming the weather warning is not right I will be at the Hatfield meeting point from before 10:00, with my ST2.
Approx 50 miles across country so I will probably get there a bit early and have a cuppa while waiting!

If its Peeing down I will probably stay in bed!!!

Great!!

A request for little help. Could anyone bring a 36mm spanner? I need to tension the new chain, went to couple of local Halfords none of them have a 36mm (I hope 36mm) spanners or sockets. They had 34mm which was too small and 38 which was too big. I will bring rest that is needed.
Preferably a person that goes to first meet point so we could do it before fun.

Thx
