The other site I'm on has organised a little rideout starting at Uppingham, Leics and finishing at Rutland Water. Don't worry it's not that short!

We are travelling down to Market Harborough. Stop at Midland Superbikes for a cuppa and a breakfast baguette, then up the "TT" road to Melton Mowbray from there over to Rutland water to have another cuppa/ice cream (yeah right).

This is the link to the aforementioned site with a map link

Rutland Rideout

I'm always a sucker for a Sunday thrash about, providing the weather is up to it. Where exactly are you meeting at Uppingham? (postcode please) and is that 10am or 10:30am

Me and my wife Nean did a similar rout to this last autumn -riding out on the Ollifest event- it was a great day out, the roads in the area are superb, I just wish we could come with you but saddly Nean cant ride at the moment, have a good time though and I hope the weathers good for you all.

I could be up for this providing I don't have too many 'tinctures' at a family party the night before.

Tell them this might be the last weekend this year you can get out on your bike.

They're not to know you're fibbing.

I see you're based in London too Saxman. Come and join us at Boxhill on Saturday as well.

Nice that a few of you may be popping along.

Looking forward to meeting you.

Bugrit! Came home last night to be told that eldest daughter is playing in a footy match & I should attend as I spend so much time working away from home. Youngest daughter is in a play that starts a couple of hours after the footy match finishes. That's my Sunday taken care of & I daren't risk having a few snifters at the party tonight because I'll be driving the car most of Sunday.

Sorry folks. Sounds wimpish but I should support our daughters activities. Just wish they'd give me more notice.

I shall be riding down from Melton about 9.30, if anyone is passing through (from Nottingham etc) we could meet up and ride down together.

B*****, B*****, B*****, B*****, B*****, B*****, B*****, B*****,

My favourtite roads, and just round the corner.

I 'agreed' to take my wife out tomorrow. No getting away with it, not if I dont want a divorce. I had all but written off this year, but the past couple of days has been perfect! Have a nice time all, mind the uppingham hairpin!
