Hi Johnny
Thanks for the offer to pick your brains
i understand you have owned the whole 1098/1198 family and Im currenty wondering whether my usual 2/3 year itch could be scratched by changing up from my 1098s to a 1098r. Ive really enjoyed owning the 1098s and so should probably stick with what Ive got (the only other temptation would be a Aprilia RSV4 but they are way down on torque compared with the 1098). Im wondering whether the £8k change up cost would be worth it. I must admit to being a complete power junky but 99% of the time the power of the 1098 is more than enough. If I bought an R Id probably need to keep it for 3/4 years to justify the buy
the only complaint I would have with the 1098 is a lack of low speed agility and front suspension which could probably do with a completely new set up as its just way too soft. Maybe the R is just more power with everything else the same?
Your thoughts would be v gratefully received
Matt
