The raised seat is fine- Its a bit harder and therefore less comfy but like all these things you get used to it quickly. I've been commuting through London for three weeks on the 749 whilst the Mille takes a break and its fine now, it was just a stark contrast from the now sold VFR800 when I first fitted it. If you want I can meet up and swap seats with yours for a ride. As it was my first track day on a "proper" sports bike I found I barely touched the seat as I was working on my body position and trying to hang off more.

I had my suspension sorted before the track day and its much better now and ready for some fine tuning. For now I need to send my Ohlins shock away to be rebuilt as its started weeping oil!

AS for the dreaded bill; the GSXR is OK but needs some new fairing panels. Whats worse is the ST4S and I'm trying to help my mate locate parts for it as he is having to pay the guy he took out

Hi Wade.

I didn't go as I had a track day at Rockingham (on the 749 but I've got an RSV1000R now too!). It was a good day but my mate binned his GSXR and took out an ST4S so I didn't ride in the afternoon sessions

Sorry mate, just saw your message as I've been dead busy at work and not reading the forums much! I guess you went to FWR. They are decent blokes and I've been to them for puncture repairs before on the VFR.

Probably best I missed your message and didn't get my hopes up about a ride...looking at the weather that it.

Wade. Cheers for the "tasteful" compliment. I'm not going to spend much more on it now (saving for an old R6 to use as a track bike!).

If you are up for a ride one day I'd like to pop round to Essex as I've never been riding up there. As long as I could keep up with you that is judging by the state of you knee sliders
