Steve / Mr R
I'll take the 2-1 lead in the betting stakes

Stoner i feel shot his mouth off to much over the winter... Saying Rossi this and rossi that !
It takes a great champion to win two in a row.
As i see it Rossi is the top Bridgestone runner.... Stoner is now trying to catch up. Pressure= mistakes.
god knows why the duke has gone backwards, Forget the other works Duke, I think Ducati miss cappers and his superb development skills ?
Also the speed advantage has gone with the new no valve spring jap motors the press talk about, WTF is desmodromic Boys? lol
Lorenzo is the man at the moment.
It's gonna be one hell of a season this year (fingers crossed)

Hi Steve/ID,
I think you may have hit the nail on the head here...
I think Ducati got lucky last year in that the 800 suited Stoner, his more agressive style than Cappo's got the results, which came as a suprise to the factory...
Cappo' was ment to take the title last year!
Stoner's fast but he's not the development rider that Cappo was/is?
Which's why they're having problems sorting out this years bikes short comings.
If I were Stoner I'd be asking for last years rolling chassis.
I was chatting to a mate who thought that the factory wouldn't ware that, they'd be saying you're the race team sort it out!

Steve

Hi Steve,

Yes they miss cappo! I know you dislike the guy (rossi) in his book he states ....
He turned down Ducati and took the yam offer because he felt at home with the team.
Honda stated to him.... The bike wins the title the rider just rides it... he felt the same vibes at bologna.
They really didn't want to listen to what he wanted from the bike.
He pulled off a amazing win on the yamaha the year after leaving honda (even with the test ban)
Because imo yamaha listened to him and burgess... Yamaha are now very strong and others are
(lorenzo etc) reaping the development of rossi and edwards.
Ducati now are in the ****...... A rider who was so lucky and everything went his way... cappo gone..
Malandri.. always rode semi factory bikes with no imput to development.
Bad move i think, They needed someone like edwards to be stoners team mate.......
I may be wrong, but when your lucks up it's a barsteward to catch up.
hope they turn it around but i feel that will be next year!
But i may be wrong
With the new... turn the traction control off in parts of the track is where the Duke looks way out of shape.
I also suspect Bridgestone are breaking their backs to give rossi the tyre he wants.
They supply fiat and they can use him as a marketing tool ?
Steve

Right. They talked about Estoril never having been a Bridgestone track but if Lorenzo keeps disappearing on the package from which Rossi insisted on switching he's going to be beside himself.

Hi Steve/ID, Everyone.
I've just read on a US Website that Ducati have confirmed that they're getting Bayliss and Biaggi to test the MotoGP bikes.
This's because of the poor results turned in by Malandri and the satellite team riders, no mention of Stoner other than to state he's the only one putting in competitive times...
Reading between the lines here, I think they've realised they haven't got a good development rider in the squads!
There's a rumor that Malandri may loose his ride possibly to Max Biaggi.
Bayliss would be my choice, but I can't see Ducati throwing away the only chance they've got to take the WSB title this year.
Ducati aren't allowed to test on any of the MotoGP circuits with their official test riders, other than on the pre-arranged test days. But Max and Troy could help sort the bikes out at other tracks.
If either of these lads do well I think Malandri might be looking for another job soon!

Steve

Interesting stuff Steve,

Confirms they were idiots to let Cappo go.
Ideally i would like to see Max moved to Bayliss's WSB squad, And Bayliss on
Marcos bike....
But i think Stoner wouldn't be too happy with Troys presence in the duke Camp
Especially if he beats him.

Crowing rights Mr R

I'll take the 4-1 lead..... I guess my pre-season read ....BSN in depth following
of Motogp testing is paying off
Ducati need old pillow bite hasbeen on their bike next year and except
the puffy doctors terms to bring along a winning Team
I know Casey's bike expired but thats racing... last year springs to mind

3 yamahas on the podium...
Now thats not in the script.

Next we will see old pillow bite in public with a pit bird

Hi Steve ID,
Bugger I forgot about the racing today, I've been working on the old bevel for the TT holiday.
It's not looking good for Ducati/Stoner is it?
In the last 2 weeks I've modified the float bowls to take the latest type floats, had a new exhaust valve seat fitted in the front pot, had to Helicoil the sparkplug hole in the front pot, changed the oil/oilfilter.
I can't get the back pot to run on tickover, I wound the mixture screw all the way and all the way out, even removed it completely but it still wont chime in...
I've tried pilot jets from 55's through to 60's
I'll take the carb (41mm rubber mounted race Dellorto) to work tomorrow and blast it through with the air line, invest in some carb cleaner and pay a visit to a mates workshop, borrow some new mixture screws and 'O' rings from his stock of KTM Dellorto's.
If she persists in ******* me around I'll bite the bullet and fit a pair of FCR's, but they'll have to wait until after the TT.
Brook Henry used them on V Two's bevel racers so they obviously work, but look a bit out of place to my way of thinking on a classic Duke.
My mate who's one of the top KTM tuners in the country swears by the FCR's and has tried to persuade me to fit a pair for years now...
Since I said I make a donation to the TT Riders Benevolent Fund if I lost this bet, I might as well take my cheque book to the Island and get it over with.
I wonder if the race highlights are on the BBC tonight?
Shame I already know the result though!

Steve

sorry about giving away the result Steve i'll leave it a while before i post up.

Many a hour i have spent with my Dad with his 40's in bits ..... lol
He refuses to fit jap carbs to his mille rep..
I'm pretty sure mikuni make 40mm dellorto replicas ? Not cheap!
I swear by by the fcr's ... bloody cracking carbs, but agree they will look
out of place on a bevel.
Hope you get beverly running for the TT Mate.

LOL pigs can fly i tell yeah...... guess not

Guess its pillow bites turn to pick the soap up tonight

Rundown

The points table show that its looking pretty promising for Vale and he is happy on the Yamaha running bridgestones, just look at the last four rounds to see that.
Tech3 are also doing well and its nice to see JT putting a good run in on his first outing at MGP, with over ten tracks to go its going to be a great season with Rossi, Pedrosa, Lorenzo (two Spaniards that absolutely loathe each other), Stoner with patchy form, JT looking like he is after at least one poduim slot and the pit girls page gets updated at each round, christmas has come early for those of you that have been sleeping because MGP is where its at!!!
God bless the Moto GP as this year is really exciting, if its for charity i will bang a 20 quid in as well just let me know how and when.
