I dissagree!! Vale lost it in the corkscrew and was bloody lucky to have held it. It was out of control and could have gone anywhere. At the pace they were running when that happens it happens and he was just a passenger which thankfully didn't spit him off.

It was a cracking race from both of them the confidence to leave the brakes till the death at that level is amazing.

It takes a min of 2 people to race and they did a great job, best one in years, its just Caseys attitude that narks people.

and then many more positive comments by folk who enjoyed what happened on the track - eg the racing.

Why bother letting what happened 2 mins after, when adrenalin is coursing, spoil what was otherwise and excellent show of racing skills by both of them ?

Lin - enjoyed every second of it at 6.45am and even my son took his helmet off and stayed behind to watch making him late for work

That was the best round of MGP so far it was absolutely fantastic, what with saturdays bin offs record and Sunday nights best race so far we have more rounds to go and we can see who really wants that title.
Shame there was no Pedrosa as i would of liked to see how he faired on that circuit, jorge is becoming a crasher so i doubt Carole nash will touch him for a few years :0
No one can complain about Saturday nights race as it was just sheer class, you aint telling me when rossi went of the track you didnt say "no" FFS "no" and when stoner came off im sure i saw some tit in the background jumping for joy WTF is that all about (will watch the re run and see if UKTV caught it), without the two it would of been a crap race but racing it was at its best and they delivered a race that everyone enjoyed, and now with more burnining passion and rivalry this MGP is surely going to get better - now thats a real bonus for MGP Fans!!!!

I suspect Stoner was more angry with himself for not winning?

Also suspect that he was embarassed when he saw the interview replayed?

To have ridden the wheels off, got beaten into second and then had a microphone shoved in your face (OK: I know they are pros and meant to deal with it) but I reckon that quite a few people would have reacted badly.

Never met the guy, so don't want to make too much of a judgement; all I know is that was a fantastic race and we witnessed 2 great racers in a class apart on the day.

Reminded me of Shwantz and Rainey in 1991 at Hockenheim.

They are all highly paid professional riders, doing a very dangerous JOB. The have all got a right to expect good standards of riding and at times Rossi does cross the line, there is absolutely no argument. Stewards have had words with him in the past but have never had the balls to take it any further....

...does no-one remember Vale' knocking Gibernau across the track forcing a gap that wasn't there on the last corner last lap to take a win that he should have been relegated from.

No body that entertains us so much and can ride the wheels off a 220+ BHP motorcycle should be called a Wa**er or anything else.

I agree Casey did not handle himself well in the post race interviews, however we have all said things and regretted them later.

I have followed bike racing for a long time and appreciate all who race and entertain us on their motorcycles.
The scarifies and commitment is beyond most of us.

Some are gifted with the ability to draw people to them, some seem to alienate people no matter how hard they try to please.

All that's left for me to say is, it takes great focus to ride and race bikes and to be a World Champion, if that means believing totally that you are unbeatable, then it works for Casey and Ducati.
We should be grateful we can all enjoy the racing,in the safety of our arm chair.

I will put the soap box away now.
