A good race but I did feel a tad sorry for Casey, that's not the finish I'd like to see for anybody. Very well done to Toni Elias and Anthony West though, very well boys lets see some more of that for the final races of the year.

I'll have to give Stoner some credit cos at least he didn't make any excuses today or whine too much today.

I think he fell off cos he was pushing hard and that's what happens when you have the likes of Rossi bearing down on you

He couldn't break away and I think he knew that Rossi was gonna be turning the wick up as the end was in sight and bang, it all goes pear shaped again and this time there was no getting back on track.

Good news for us Rossi fans though

I believe the bike has more ability than Stoner and I just don't rate him. It is interesting thought hat the bike has been made for hime and nobody else can ride it.

Rossi (who I am a huge fan of) must have thought all his Christmas's and Birthday's came at once. All of the title contenders failed to make any impact on todays race.

I just wasn't laughing enough that HRC's main man was there and Danni only got 2 points lol.....

great race, pity about Stoner he was pushing it a bit an
off waiting to happen nice to watch him racing though..
Great win for Rossi... I do so like the wheelie at the end.
And love those helmets...

The best thing about Stoner coming off is that we at
last got to see the battle of 2nd 3rd 4th etc. Wow Elias made
a great way through to get to 2nd place and the battles behind
him made for some good viewing

I really enjoyed watching today..........

Go Rossi....

Gonna be pretty boring now, was kind of hoping that it might have happened the other way round then it would have been proper game on for the rest of the season, but now well it is just gonna be vaguely interesting to see how soon a "very appy" Rossi wraps it up, yawn. At least the smaller classes are a bit more interesting.

So, VR has a 50 point lead with 150 left to fight for, he must win the title easily ? Not necessarily. With 6 races to go for the title, there is plenty of chances left for points to be gained by both CS & DP on VR. Valentino will likely make at least 1 more mistake, Casey will win lets say 3 more races.......Valencia has never been a great track for VR and if it goes to the final round then anything can happen. I just get the feeling that there are more twists and turns to come - only 2 races ago Stoner was just 20 points away from the lead.

Looks like Stoner finally found the limit of his traction control.

There was still a Ducati on the podium - so surely that this good?

Personally, I'm pleased someone else was able to get a Duc on the podium - hasn't happened since Caparossi won at Japan last year.

From Steve Parrish's BBC column @

BBC SPORT | Motorsport | Motorbikes | Steve Parrish's MotoGP column

in anticipation of the Brno round:

"Casey got a lot of bad press over the incident [i.e. the strop at Laguna Seca] and will have been mulling it over for the last month, so he has got to go out in Brno and make sure it doesn't wind him up so much that he falls off trying to beat Rossi..."

All the riders at Moto GP are the best. Even the guy at that finishes last has mega talent.

I always thought stoner had become a bit of a nob but decided to keep an open mind. After Leguna, I thought that the guy acted a real dik head. And still do. Reckon he did himself no favours that day.

If he wins the champoinship this year he does, big deal. I dont want him to though! Yes I ride a Ducati and a Yamaha but I have no Brand loyalty. I want the best talented rider to win. For me thats Rossi.

Best thing stoner could do is leave Ducati and join Yamaha or Suzuki for example. Then win the title on that bike. After he has racked up loads of titles, he can say he is one of the greatest.

Well I was there to see it and was it a great trip? Anyway I like most of the fans in the T1 area jumped with joy when we saw Moaner fall off. Watching Rossi stalking the whingeing **** was fantastic, I'd imagine that all Moaner had going through his mind was at what point would Vale start to really push?
Interestingly throughout the whole weekend when Rossi appeared out on track the crowd went wild but it just wasn't the same for Casey Moaner, he really isn't a popular little boy.
Bumped into JT on Sunday evening who was a total gent, even after such a bad weekend at the office he was still more than happy to have his photo taken and have a chat.
