Classic Ducati Racing

Well, I thought someone had to mention it

They run two classes that are good for ducati singles, and a third where you have to spend shedloads to be competitive (heard that before ?)

250 European
350 Group 2
500 Group 2

I've been racing a 350 single for a couple of years with the CRMC, but the timing side crank nut caused me to (ahem) retire the engine

I've treated myself to a replacement engine now though, and will be running a 250 Desmo this year

Provisional race dates are :

March 22/23 Pembrey

April 26/27 Anglesey

May 17/18 Lydden

June 28/29 Donington Park GP circuit

July 25-27 feature races at Silverstone Car Classic.

August 09/10 Cadwell Park

September 06/07 Snetterton – Race of aces

October 4/5 Brands Hatch Indy. Race of the Year.

As a new boy to the racing scene it's good to hear about other Ducati racing, especialy for older bikes! I wish you all the best for a good years racing ahead.

Welcome to the site, Phil. Nogaromill does have a point....you do have rather a lot of Ducatis (he pointed out with not a trace of envy).

Welcome Phil, lets have some pics then! Do you race the same series as Les Judkins (i think thats his name) the 70 year old ducati racer? Good luck for the season.

Hi Phil,
Im currently putting a 250 together, i was going to join the VMCC and use a BSA but the plan has changed.

When i watched the VMCC at cadwell i noticed they had the ducatis in the pre 72 class upto 500, and also a ducati only race.

I was wondering who the ducati race was with as i know it wasnt the VMCC.

What club do you suggest would be best? ive heard mixed views on the "modern" CRMC.
