Love the TT, glad you had a good time JK!
Ive been pretty well every years (sometimes twice goingfor the Manx as well LOL)going since TT78; love the place, the atmosphere, the unique event, the history, the great roads.
For me the TT is better than anything on the mainland; a real biking festival and a must see for anyone with even a passing interest in bikes.
As JK mentioned in his write up, the islands roads are very crowded TT time, and the police have plenty of very visible speed traps in the restricted areas, however the dersricted areas are just that; no limit, so you have no excuse to get caught in a built up area!
There is a big mix of riders, both ability and nationality, and there are the inevitable accidents (four visitor fatals this year) so do be careful, but its a great place; real motorcycling heaven!

I agree with all of the above...
So much so that I've just booked up for next year, after saying I'd be giving it a miss.
I'll be stopping in Port Erin with the DOCGB TT crew at the Cherry Orchard Time share apartments, it'll be my 16th visit to the Island.
I can't wait for next June to come around, I feel like a teenager again once I set foot/turn a bike wheel over there, I was 17 years old on my 1st visit in '75
Last week I turned 51.

For the first year ever, I'll be going to the MGP AND the TT in the same year and I can't wait. I started going to the TT, then I changed over to the MGP, then back to the TT again in 07 and 08. Now I am going to both, greedy or what?
Anyway, this will be my first year on a Ducati and am really looking forward to it. The 999 is in having a service right now so will be ready for a good run over the mountain. If you haven't been to the MGP, I thoroughly recommend it, especially if you crave the variety the TT has lost (125, 400, 600, 750, 1000, singles, twins, triples, modern and classic). There is even a bloke raving a TZ350 this year I think. Go for it, next June is far too far away to wait for your next TT fix!
There really is nothing like the anticipation of packing up, the ride up to Heysham/Liverpool, queueing up for the ferry with all the rest of the bikes, getting onto the ferry and, best of all, the announcement on the ferry at the Douglas end to return to the car (bike) deck. I really love the first run out of the ferry terminal and along the prom.
Less than 6 weeks to go.
