Only that it is even more useful and the effort that you have to put in becomes more noticeable because you have that sack of spuds sitting behind you!

Now there is a word which 90% of English speakers will have trouble finding in their Oxford English Dictionaries.

As opposed to going round the bend? I think most of us have done that already...

I've heard of the counter-steer technique also, recently actually at Ducbird's at the XMas Midlands Rideout and I have yet to try this one.

I think I am going to be VERY nervy about initially steering left to go right and vice versa but hey I'll give it a try I guess I could do with carrying more speed through bends as I do tend to understeer a little when knocking on a bit.

It's easy peasy and absolutely no drama involved Stu, just a little pressure applied, and around you go.
I dont personally subscribe to the 'gyroscopic effect' theory though.

Stu, you are doing it already. It is the way steering works, and if you can ride any bike then your body knows how to do it, but the explanation is so counter-intuitive that it is hard for the mk1 brain to accept. No drama, mate. Go out and ride a push bike to prove the theory to yourself...works just the same with them!
