How to know what speed is the right speed for a bend?

Good advice here but one of the bike rags tells me that you should be going round corners with closed throttle , not maintained or increasing but closed.. err.. not sure about that one

That is total goolies who ever put that in print. Should never be on a trailing throttle in a bend.

Thats crap advice for riding on the road.
Get your braking done sort out the gears and body position then turn it in. As soon as you can see where you are going....the exit, accelerate away. Power on all the way through the bend.
Probably the biggest mistake people make is not looking up, far enough ahead.
Dont stare down two yards in front you, look up, look where you want the bike to go.
