Thats crap advice for riding on the road.
Get your braking done sort out the gears and body position then turn it in. As soon as you can see where you are going....the exit, accelerate away. Power on all the way through the bend.
Probably the biggest mistake people make is not looking up, far enough ahead.
Dont stare down two yards in front you, look up, look where you want the bike to go.
