I've only just found this thread - very interesting as I thought it was just me!

I've always felt more comfortable on left handers than right handers, on either track or road. Though my tyres show that I achieve similar lean angles on both!

Also just sat here writing this, it seems more natural to lean left rather than right! How weird is that?

Bud

ps I am right handed

Here's an interesting one. Back in Australia I used to feel more comfortable on left handers. I had a bit of a break from bikes for a few years and got back on one and preferred right handers.

I'm always working on my riding though and my lefts have gotten a lot better. Still need to work on my body position. Amongst other things!

I went for right handers, something to do with practice on islands and in my head I feel safe running wide on a right hander ... OK, I know, kerbs, staitonary targets and stuff.

But, run wide on a left hander and the targets are travelling towards you which only inceases the impact speed

Never really noticed on the monster because the cans went down before getting to edge of tyre but without roundabouting there will be slightly more chicken strip on right side of tyre so subconsciously I like lefts. Have started the roundabout thing to consciously work on going right but get a bit dizzy after a couple of 'laps', fun practicing though.

Left for me too.

It is interesting that most prefer left handers and I have theory on this.
When we look at a picture our eye will always scan from left to right, something to do with the way our brain works. Perhaps this applies to corners?

Don't really know, but it's how I see it. Anyone got any other ideas?

I'm convinced it's to do with camber. I'm sure I prefer lefts because you often have positive camber in lh bends, and negative in rh.

I thought it was just me, but deffo left handers are easier. Reading the comments it is maybe the oncoming traffic brushing my helmet that scares me.

And I was discussing this at the weekend at the bike shop and looking at my tyres - would seem that I "think" I like left handers better, my chicken strips say - nope right handers for you!

Its also to do with the camber on the road in this country too - so I'm led to believe.
