Why cant I upload photos?

I have tried everything I know. I have reduced the file size below 300kb and got bored trying. Any help so that I can show off my beautiful Yellow 848?

have you tried photobucket you can upload your pic there and then click
on the bottom link to attach it to here... good luck

i clicked on the paper clip image! browsed for it in my pictures down loaded it then close the window. write something in the message box then hit submit reply! hope that helps

When you need to upload the pics, click on 'Manage Attachments' and it will open another box asking you to browse.....and then go from there...

Thanks for the tips - now i will go and try again - could end up with a mug of tea through the PC screen though!

Assume you're trying to upload images to a forum post, well said Nog.......

Delbert to be totally sure the site will allow you to upload an image try reducing the size of the image to 800px by 600px and ensure the file size is no more than 300kB and then try to add it. If it still won't upload I'd be inclined to think the problem relates to either your network connection or the fact your clicking the wrong buttons.

Well I am impressed with Ducbirds advice - just joined Bucket and it loaded straight away. Now I will try and get it in here!

The only tiny problem with hosting images on photobucket which you wish to appear on Ducatisti, is if at some point in the future you move or delete your images in photobucket the links your have created to reference them on Ducatisti will fail and no image will appear, which will result in a Ducatisti post which makes no sense without images.

The good point of hosting with Photobucket is that is saves me a tonne of bandwidth.

BUT as long as we get to see your lovely 848 Delbert I don't care, lets have a look at her asap!!!!

Dan you sound like a man that would understand these things. I got as far as loading a pic then when I pressed the process button it come up with this!

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 2092 bytes) in /home/ducatist/public_html/gallery/image-inc.php on line 152

I haven't received an email from Delbert yet, but I'm assuming the image file size is too big and he's getting the error because the max file size I allow for .jpg .gif .bmp and .png attachments is 341KB

To put image quality and physical size into perspective......
The image below has a file size of 92KB and is 550px (pixals) wide by 412px high.

this is how i do it.. because im hopeless with computers

go to reply to thread
write your message
go to photobucket
click on IMG code its says copied
now come back to your reply, go to next line
right click your mouse and paste
and hopefully your pic will appear just preview post..
