Meshing vents- a warning

I am so stupid! A few days ago I finally got around to putting mesh in the fairing vents and the V piece. Now I find it is going rusty 'cos somehow I bought steel instead of ali' mesh. Don't ask me how I managed this without realising, just stupid I guess. Now I have to take it out. I fixed with hot glue so if anyone has any tips on removal I would welcome them.

So if you are going to do this, make sure you get ali' not do what I have done!

Hi
I used a hot air gun on one of my model sub's, it worked o.k. and when it came to put it back did the same.

Hot glue is good but you will find that you will be able to pull it off with a bit of force.

Bear in mind the hot melt glue never "cures" so if its in the vicinity of anything hot (exhausts, engine etc) it will just soften up again and you may end up wondering where the hell that lovingly crafted & fitted piece of mesh has disappeared to!!

Clive.

Thanks guys for your replies. I am at least pleased to hear that it won't be too much of a problem to get the mesh off.
