749 belts

changed the belts today but ran into a "slight" problem. all the data is for a belt with 95 teeth, after several failed attempts , it turns out my bike has 90 teeth which i assume is because the block is shorter on the 749 motor. someone help me pls. how many teeth between pulleys???

All what data regarding teeth between pulleys never heard of such a thing.

If you have not got the tools you should have paint marked the old belt and pulleys and transfered those marks to the new belt.

Are you sure about that teeth count? My understanding is that the heads between a 999 and a 749 is essentially the same, only the piston diameter and stroke that is smaller on the 759.

Get hold of a parts manual and check against the part number to be sure.

my new belts are identical to the old ones ive taken off the bike, in part numbers and the amount of teeth.
