Luggage Options

We've just bought a 996 BP which we're wanting to use for weekends away and also hopefully to tour on. What luggage do people use for holidays apart from the Ventura system? I've spotted the pic on the home page which seems to suggest that simple panniers are ok.

Will carbon termi's melt my knickers?

Melt? Melt? Surely you don't wear nylon knickers? If you're worried, get silk or at least cotton ones. Or go commando...

Sadly you didn't get any serious replies, though. Best put this in the 996 section, maybe those guys don't tour that much...only us Monsterists & GT riders do!
