Women can be so cruel at times.
Don't you worry Rod just you tell them you're the same age as me!
I've known 21 year olds who are going on 60.
Any 51 year old who can jump on his bike ride almost all the way across Europe and back in not much more than a week is still more than young at heart in my book.
I think it's the bikes that keep us young, a pipe and slippers look just sooo out of place on a Ducati...

As for being a bit younger than you.........we range from 38 to 51 years old, but you'll have to guess who is what

Ha! Well, we met briefly at the Bristol do earlier in the year, IIRC.

Gav, apologies for only just getting your post and as Rod has already said what an excellent effort. I've got some additional photos, mostly of Colditz, but the group photo at the street side restaurant is city centre Bruno. Just in case anyone was in doubt to what happens when your header tank lets go I don't think 998's come with blue speckles as standard?
I've been stripping the bike for a deep clean after our 3000 miles in a week, where did all that sh*t come from?

As for Morocco - just exactly how long do you think a 998 header tank will last in that heat??

I thought your order for a 1098 would have progressed by then, especially as today's Daily Express reckons house prices are due to rise by 25%!

Gav, just to add on what both Rod and Roy have said, great write up-again and a top job with the photos, thanks for the laughs you guys!!
( I still think we should have gone to Russia, it was only another 200+ miles to the border, eh Gav?)

I don't think we could risk you getting into Steve McQueen mode again and leaping main roads without checking what's coming...............

Guys, what a sensational job, really enjoyed the read - is Morroco on the cards? As it's been said before, a better read than some of the stuff you get in the main stream press.
I Think my old Duke would quit before Folkstone!! - But I love it!!

Neal, that credit is all due to Gavin (998GSB) and his unlimited capacity to have the micky taken and still write eloquently about a bunch of guys storming (OK limping occasionally) around Europe and visiting some unusual places, not the regular tourist haunts.
