when you get breakdown cover make sure it covers you if you injury yourself and you can not ride your bike and you need the bike and yourself taken home.me an my bike have just be taken back home from Assen.

My bike came with Ducati Assurance's cover, which wasn't worth the paper it was written on when I crashed in Italy. They would have recovered only the bike, not the luggage, chain or my kit, which I would have had to carry myself, when I couldn't carry even a wallet. They would have paid for the cheapest flight back to the UK and up to €30 to transport me to an international airport, which is great if you're a couple of miles away only.

Not only, but as soon as I called them, they informed my insurance company of my accident and had it marked down as my fault. This took several months to get corrected.
