Bradders I would go France, Germany and then directly sweden.

It is a nice country and lovely roads!!

Two things for you to note:

A) They all take speed limits seriously (except in the evening when you see young one's doing drifting around roundabouts).
B) If you get stopped by a police for routine check and then stopped again on the same day in another distant place they will calculate average time it would take to get there and if you are under it..... fines are huge. I know from experience.

Multi is the best tool in there. So which town are you going to go to?
Depending of final destination there are many places to go to.
Stockholm is great for a day visit, there will be plenty of rock festivals to stop to including some pre-festival local bands playing wher you can ptch a tent over night for free or nominal fee. I would go in to the country as most of sweden is rather rocky so you will have forests mixed with lakes mixed with mountains and best off all roads are built to not damage the nature so some times in many many bends.
Hultsfred common had some great roads, if you are staying closer to germany then goteborg to malmo then to karlsctrona then ferry to poland and back. All that route alongcost line with cliffs, sea ...

Country is not that densly populated as UK so if you take B class road you will have fun. With new multi's tank range petrol would also not be a problem.

Definitely go via Norway, the scenery in Sweden is nothing like that in Norway. Fjords and fjalls, etc. You can even get a boat to various places in Norway, depending on where you need to end up.

the nearset town is Rinkaby, and city Kristianstad. Looing at Google, is quite far south and not too far from the norweigen border. Only 1000 miles door to door from home, hence the idea.

I'm at work at the mo, so I'll have a look at what you've posted when I get home Luca, thanks.

I prefer Sweden however from what I seen when I was in Norway (limited time and limited distance) I would say it has it's places.

Knowing where areyou going I am quite certain we can get you a goo route with Paivi.

Hmm... You're going to Wallander's scenery, I see... in Skane.

Now then, you could do the southern route and go through France/Belgium/Netherlands into Deutschland and from there, through Denmark to your destination. The problem with this route is that apart from Germany, it'll be pretty flat and boring.

Or, you could do the northern one, which is pretty spectacular, but does require a boat trip to either Bergen or Brevik and then ride down along the Norwegian coast and then through the Swedish lake district.

I know which one I'd choose...

Where are you Bradders? If you're northern, I'd recommend the ferry from Hull to Rotterdam. 9pm to 9am. You get to sleep while you cross and when you get to Holland, you're already 200 miles nearer to Denmark.

Overnight ferry from Harwich, Essex to Esbjerg in Denmark.
Ferry to Denmark from Harwich UK | Ferries - DFDS Seaways

Then either:

1. The short quick route straight east to Copenhagn then across the bridge to Sweden.

2. The long pretty route, north to Hirtshals in N Denmark, ferry to Kristainsand in S Norway. Hirtshals - Kristiansand - Ships and Sailings - Color Line

I did it a couple of years back, Dover -Calais then Fehmarn to Rodby ferry (turn up and pay) stopped in Youth hostel on German side - very good.

Oresund bridge/tunnel (13 euro on bike) then rode 320 miles (4 hours - 80 mph average at a steady 80mph) to Stockholm and stayed in the island prison there.

carried on to Abisco at top then over to Norway and up the coast.

Saves a load of hassle and money instead of going all the way up the Norway coast.

Stopped at YHA all the time as they are really good and cheap - ask to have meals as well - excellent value.

dont camp - mozzies everywhere

everyone speaks english.

Stopped at Mora one night at this bike club

had a fantastic night - even got taken home by a large local girl (!!??)

home distilled booze is a bit naughty though.
