Brands Full GP Sept 4th

Anyone here going?

I've done Brands a fair times but only ever the Indy circuit so really looking forward to the GP - looks immense on Google Earth.

I'm going if you want to catch up?

Hi there - I am new to this forum - but just saw your thread. Only ever had a quick eve spin at Brands on the Indy circuit (about 40 mins on track total) - so booked in for the 4th at the GP before the end of the summer.......but none of my mates could make it. However, was determined to go back before the end of the summer....

Hoping that the weather holds up. You on your own or in a group?

Hi Cham

Soirry - just seen this.

There's three of us going. The other 2 are non Ducatis though as they have no taste.

Be good to see the 848 in action!

that's a shame. I'm down for it on the 15th - hoping it's dry...

It was terrible. I had one dry session where I could enjoy myself and the rest was like riding in a monsoon.

So I guess 20 minutes of enjoyable riding.

rouge - just seen your post

Sorry mate - only just saw your post - not sure if I saw you or not through all that surface water spray!

wasnt it awful....I had one very brief session just before lunch which had a drying line, and it was manageable.....otherwise I just decided it wasn't worth sending over £10k of bike spinning down the track..... not sure I hit a single apex all day....every time I went to tip in I just backed right off as I entered another enourmous puddle.....

On supercorsa pro's it was awful. All i wanted was a track bike on wets like all the rest of the gang I shared a garage with!

third gear and still wheelspinning out of bends?! Not much fun....95mph into that right hander after the big straight? zero confidence. I was going to invest in some better wet weather tyres for winter, and I wish I had done so before I went!

guess that's my track day season over with now too for the year. Nevermind....onwards and upwards!

Makes a bit of a change from the Sunday - managed to get a last minute ticket for the Missano GP from another Ducatisti (thanks Mill749) and was there in the 40 degree sunshine riding mecca dreaming of track day fun to come! Oops.....

Catch you another time......
