Bike: Bikeless :(

Jesus Alan, glad you're not hurt more than that. Although I'm sure having a broken pelvis is a tad inconvenient ...

I guess you won't be coming to Cadwell on the Tricolore to watch us race then?

I'll ride it for you if you like ... now if I could just lockwire the sump ...

Hi Tony..
Now you know the Tricolore is not eligible for DD .. cuz otherwise you'd be welcome. Bugger its not lockwired up and belly pan needs changing and......
Nah just too much to do mate, so it will have to stay in my garage under Nog's smart red cover for now.
Pelvis is a bummer cuz makes getting about a real hassle and hurts like hell if I put any weight on my left leg... No good for left handers for a while.. can't hang off left.. weight left peg... use left arm/hand.. but hey most uk circuits are predominantly right handers so ermmmm
Cheers mate and good luck at Cadwell.

sorted - nasty fall mate. Hope you're back on your feet soon.
What group were you in on the day? Me and my mate were in the Fast group and we didn't have a red flag all day I think, did notice a bike getting trailered back though.

Can't say I did the term FAST any good but those times of yours 1:38, not doubting you but that's bloomin quick for a wet session.

Not sure if you saw him but Darrin Sharp was on track, the chap has one arm, rode like the bloomin wind - awe inspiring!!!
No Arm in Racing

Get well soon mate.

me and mates were inters (nutters) and so was "sorted", was in fast the week before at silverstone GP and the standard of riding was much better - as you would expect. One of our group on a 1098S went from fast to novice just because of conditions - it was tricky but i like that sort of thing. Guy on a speed triple in your group was pulling nice wheelies from the melbourne loop to the next corner - goddards???? good day at the end.

Cheers Matey... It was Darren that brought my bike up on the trailer behind his van cuz he lives near me and we are mates He's a terrific fella and quick too. One of lifes truly genuine guys. I went into Inters to start with (usually do when the wifes with me so I'm not tempted to push it). Felt really comfortable but obviously must have overcooked it a bit. Funnily enough it was Darren and my wife Summer that timed 3 of my laps at 1m 40.2 - 1m 39.6 and 1m 38.8.
Wished they'd been in the mid 1.40's cuz mighta stayed on then!! LOL

Just got back from Addenbrooke's and good news is don't need plate and screws in wrist.. Cracked Scaphoid and Radius thats impacted into bottom of Ulna, but they've stretched it back out and lined everything up.. OUCH!!! and now in plaster to let it join up naturally. Going back for more xrays and check its all in place next week but looking good
Cracked pelvis but its all in line and will mend on its own.. so lucky I guess.
Cheers
Alan

Cheers Jerry.. Visited fracture clinic yesterday again for more xrays and all looks well . Plaster cast on left arm for another 4 weeks'ish and then hopefully all ok.

Pelvis will mend on its own so as soon as the tendons/muscles in the groin get less painful, I will be off the crutches too!

good man. If you're coming down to Brands on the 30th, pop in and say hi. I'll be there if it's not raining

Not sure if I'll make the 30th but if I do will look you up (what are you riding)?

If its raining stick wets on but back it off a bit (says he that was lapping only a second or 2 slower than in the dry @ donnington)

I'll be taking asbo down - red 748R (up to a point) and if it's not too cold, I'll take my white S4Rs for some suspension tuning - it's a bit loud, but they let it on track last time

Hopefully there will be a couple of us there. I've started a thread in the TDays secction.

My 1098S with Termi's was 104.5Db (cheated by 500Revs) and the GSXR750 with Yoshi full race system was 106Db but I put a Db killer in for noise testing and get away with it.
Will see what I can do about the 30th.. Have fun!

cool, thanks! asbo is 98 with db killers in, but the S4Rs is 105db at 4,500. I've been told that they're 108 at full chat...
